11 Jul Process Of Earning National Accreditation
Gather 4 Him Christian College of Kennewick is in the formal process of earning national accreditation. The college will host a Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) on-site evaluation team July 17-20 to evaluate the college for Candidate accreditation status. Located at 3021 W. Clearwater Avenue, the Christian liberal arts college has been growing rapidly. In existence since 2008, the college has seen more than 90 percent of its graduates go on to four-year colleges and universities.
College President Bob Nash said, “It’s been a long and challenging road to reach this point and we are excited to have the team visit. Our goal is to prove to them and the world that G4HCC provides a strong academic program backed by solid moral principles. The immediate goal is to achieve Candidate status, which depends on the findings of the accreditation team and addressing any areas needing improvement. We anticipate achieving this goal when we personally appear before the TRACS Board in Dallas, TX in late October.”

TRACS is approved by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally-recognized institutional accrediting agency and appears on the Secretary’s List of Approved Accrediting Agencies. TRACS is also recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
